| Hello to anyone who is reading this! This is my first blog post… ever. I have dreams of perusing a career in makeup artistry and decided to start a blog so I can talk about my reviews on products, as well personal experiences that come with being an amateur cosmetics artist (stay tuned). For my first post I am going to talk about three particular products that are the core for many of my looks. The first is my good old faithful Nars Mie Kabuki Brush. This brush is everything to me… It works wonders. With just a stroke of a “3” on the side of the face, an effortless subtle bronzing/contouring effect is revealed using any bronzer of your choice (I prefer a matte brown color… but sometimes a little glitter is good for that sun-kissed look in the summertime). The almost teardrop shape and fluffy bristles give way to perfect contouring… every time you use it. I also like to use the brush to apply finishing powder or, my Guerlain Météorites' Pearls. Which brings me to the next product. Besides the classy packaging (so fancy) and the sweet lavender smell of the pearls… this product is fabulous. I have the medium shade, which means the pearls are colored white, lavender, pink, white, and tan. The colors of the pearls have a purpose besides just looking cool. Each color has a different purpose, from color-correcting to illuminating. The sparkles can be much if applied too heavily, but a few subtle strokes on the face give way to a flawless glowing complexion (hellz ya). And the final core product I own is the Dior “My Lady” blush. This blush is a limited edition to Nordstrom… I am going to be so sad when mine runs out. Three shades of peachy-orange allow this blush to work on just about anyone, with any complexion. I sometimes even like to use it as a pop of color on the eyelids as well. Together- these three products make me feel unstoppable. They without a doubt give me the effortless/glowy/shimmery makeup look that I was striving for all along! Ugh pure perfection. Until next time… Alex Products Nars Mie Kabuki brush- multi purpose powder brush $55 Guerlain Météorites' - slightly shimmery powder that creates an illuminating complexion (and smells like lavender) $62 Pearls Dior 'My Lady' Blush- blush with shimmery shades of pink, peach and orange Oh yes I have attached a picture I took with my amateur photography skills. ~Enjoy~ |
